Its always such an honour to do repeat work for any of our clients. We last met Dani and Simon earlier in the year when I styled their adorable daughter, Matisse's Christening. So when I received the phone call to start planning Matisse's first birthday and it was to be BRIGHT AND BOLD in colour I could not be more excited.

We calle don our friends at Pretty and Print to create a graphic design suite based around that ever so friendly chidren's character, Hootabelle.

The ladies at Sweetest Jubilee recreated the top tier of a Hootabelle cake initially design by the very talented Jacki of Blissfully Sweet. Along with cupcakes, macarons, chocolate coated oreos and cake pops a sweet feast was created,

Noo of Dessert Menu, Please once again stopped at nothing to create the perfect Matisse and number 1 cookies where even the smallest details were expertly piped onto the cookies.

Beautiful Flower balloons and jumbo balloons from Boutique Balloons of Melbourne adorned the tables and mini bentwood chairs from Mini Party People.

The littlest guests were entertained by the gorgeous Facepainting by Starface.

Oh how I love the internet.

One of my favourite sites to visit in my daily procrastinations is Design Love Fest.Its full to the brim with pure gorgeousness (did we establish thats a word?) DIY and style inspo galore. My favourite section each month though, has to be the dress your tech downloads. Just like buying yourself a new outfit, but for your desktop!

Since my desk is currently a little monochrome, I thought I would dress my desktop in a little Jessica Stevens love with a funky triangle background.

If your after something a little more pretty i highly reccomend going through all the downloads. Pretty galore!

I'll be the first to admit, I have an absolute love for cake stands, in particular milk glass, but really any pretty vintage collection gets my attention. There is nothing more satisfying than styling beautifully made desserts a top a stunning cake stand. They do each other such justice.

I'm currently working my way through Mosser's complete collection of milk glass cake stands, collecting each colour in every size, so you can be sure when you book your next dessert buffet or candy bar with Red Wagon Events that we will be providing the perfect touch to your event right down to the choice of cake stand colour.
